This is an incredible, unbelievably convicting sermon. Just like Stacy McDonald said when she linked to it, I pray that every one who visits my site takes the time to listen to this message.

  • LOVE Paul Washer! Check out some of his other sermons if you get a chance – especially ‘True Gospel Series’. It’s quite long… but by far the sermon series that has most affected my life. He’s at HeartcryMissionary dot com – thanks for posting this :o)

  • Fabulous. Amazing. I love it. We will watch it again. Can I post it on my blog too?

I listened to the whole thing, from a non-Christian perspective. While his message was totally lost on me, I liked the fact that he called out people on hypocrisy and inconsistency.

It also gave me great insight into why my Southern Baptist friends felt sorry for me, and some of them didn’t want their children to come in contact with mine.

I have lived in Southern California my whole life. I guess one advantage to this is that Christianity is not a culture out here. Many people here have never heard the gospel and don’t know anything about Jesus other than in the context of swearing. There are definitely “seeker-friendly” churches out here; however there are a few solid ones, too. Whenever I’m tempted to feel sorry for myself about living in this liberal culture out here and how terrified I am to cover my head full-time because headcovering is practically non-existent here, when I really think about it, I see value in being here where everyone doesn’t automatically assume they’re a Christian like many who live in the Bible-belt. Of course there are tons of carnal “Christians” here as described in this clip, just like everywhere else in America. Overall, though, the harvest is indeed ripe here.

  • I was just now about to sit down and listen to the whole message. Wow! That was GOOD!! I’m gonna share it on my blog tomorrow :-)

  • Wow is all I can say, too. Thank you for posting this.
